SEO Strategies and value of having your website optimized

I have been involved in SEO since the beginning, I can remember my absolute delight in adding certain keyword phrases to a website and seeing it rank number 1 for my clients. There was certainly a golden age of SEO for us marketing pros where the application of SEO to a website was easy, and to rank highly was also an easy task as there were not that many of us doing it and most people thought it was some kind of voodoo stuff.

It was at a time where I heard regularly statements like “this inter web thing will not last!” or one of my favourites “You cant beat the yellow pages and my full page advert”

Times have certainly changed and I knew they would.

Google are search, search is Google and although this may change at some point in the future presently and for the foreseeable future your investment into search results should be focused on Google.

Some interesting Google facts:

  • 96.84% of the global mobile search traffic belongs to Google. (Statcounter)
  • The number of searches grows by 10% every year. (InternetLiveStats)
  • With 94.19%, India is the top Google-using country. (Statista)
  • 77% of people use Google 3 times a day. (Moz)
  • 20% of all Google searches are done by voice commands. (Google)
  • Every business that will spend $1 on Google ads will earn roughly $8. (Google)
  • Only 0.78% of people click something on Google’s page 2. (Backlinko)
  • Having a question in the meta title will raise the CTR for 14.1%. (Backlinko)
  • When it went public, Google was worth about $23 billion. (CNN, CNBC)

So [Google] search engine optimization is really important to most businesses and you should invest in SEO. It is a medium to long term marketing activity, gone are the days of getting high rankings quickly. If anyone promises you high rankings walk away! Falling foul of Googles rules could see your website and web pages disappear from organic rankings.

We can help you and your business with our SEO services we which we break down into 4 different activities:

  1. Keyword Analysis and Plan
  2. Technical SEO
  3. On Page SEO
  4. Off Page SEO

However, before any SEO activity is carried out it is important to have an agreed SEO strategy created, signed off and implemented. This ensures that we as an agency and you as a client are all on the same page and that there are measurable performance markers in place to show progress.

Expectations are important because SEO does not have guaranteed results and there is real competitiveness in nearly all markets with many SEO pros battling it out.  Google doesn’t care about us pros being able to get our clients success. They are interested in serving the best, most relevant search engine results (SERPS) delivered to their users that keeps them coming back for more searches. So they keep changing the rules and punishing those who try to “fool” the results for financial gain.

We have an ethical approach where we believe Great SEO, Great Content and a Great Company that delivers will lead to Great Search Results. We can provide the Great SEO & Content whilst you focus on being a Great Company.

There is also a very strong and demonstratable connection between SEO and google Ads. If your SEO is excellent and relevant you can drive down your bidding costs for advertising versus your competition. Its not rock science to know that if you are only spending $0.50 for every visitor to your web page and your competitor has to spend $2 your chances of showing a good return on investment and sustainable advertising is much higher.
